7-12 School Counselor, Ashley Tessum
Thank you for stopping by the Counselor's Page! I have had the privilege of working at Clay Central Everly for 10 years now as the School Counselor. I have also taught Junior High English for the past three years. Throughout the past 10 years, I've coached various Junior High athletics. Last year I have moved up to the high school level and am the Assistant Girls Basketball coach. It is great to work in the same school I graduated from years ago! I hope you will find my page helpful in finding the resources you need! Please use the column along the left side of the screen to navigate my page.

Just a little about myself- I graduated from Clay Central/Everly in 2003. I continued my education at Iowa Lakes Community College graduating with my AA degree, and then I transferred to Buena Vista University, graduating in 2007 with my BA degree in Secondary English Education with a Reading endorsement. After substituting for a short time, I received a job offer at CC/E as the K-8 Counselor and small group Reading teacher. In 2013, I graduated from Buena Vista University once again with my Masters degree in Professional School Counseling. I have also enjoyed coaching a variety of sports, including Junior High girls basketball for 8 years, helping out with boys basketball and baseball for a few years, and now helping my father-in-law with high school girls basketball as the assistant coach.
I reside just outside of Everly, my hometown, where I live with my husband (my high school sweetheart) and three children. We are kept very busy with farm life and three very active children- we love every minute of it! In our free time we love camping and being outdoors. I also enjoy reading, photography, mowing/landscaping, and do-it-yourself projects.
